First of all! Why kiteboarding....

Hello Everybody,
I am Jan Marcos Riveras Mosquea (for short JMR), born on 6 may 1988 in Cabarete on the Dominican Republic.

After school you always found me on the beach, I love it to be there. The wind, nice people to meet and of course the 'Waves'.

The combination of wind and waves, I love it!
And that was years before I get my first kite; a kite surfer asked me to help him to bring his kite down. After a small conversation, he ask me if I want to have that kite. And I said: 'YES!'

From that day I was every possible minute on the beach to practice my skills. And I become better and better every day.

Than comes the big oppertunity; The Master of the Ocean in 2007, with names likes Jose Polanco! Now I had the chance to show everybody my skills, and yes I won that title!

From that time it was booming, photoshoots, my first sponsor Starkites and the possibilety to join the Kiteboard Worldtour KPWT in 2008.

I remember the first time in Europe and in cold water, Saint Gilles in France and it was cold. But it becomes my first victory; Third place, Yes on the podium, with Abel and Mitu, and that year I become second in WaveMasters 2008.
This last year I was WorldCampion, can you imagen!

I hope to get it next year again; I will fight for it, that's how I am!
